Horror Museum
Beauty/Decay Study - by Sam Spratt
This was a test I did with the female portrait contest winner to mentally differentiate opposite states of beauty/decay and ultimately assist to strike a balance when I painted the real portrait. When I do preliminary work (which is rare)—it’s almost always to try to understand something—rather than to create a rough draft.
